Explorers
For young people growing their comfort zone…
Our Explorers program will encourage your child to participate in a range of activities that grow their comfort zones (socially, mentally and/or physically) and celebrate personal achievements. The activities chosen by our Team offer a range of opportunities to explore new skills, practice self-agency and grow self-esteem within an environment that promotes positive social interactions and celebration of shared success.
Our upcoming group in October 2024 has been designed as a series of different activities spread across the school holidays - how many events you attend is up to you!
You may opt to attend 1 event to give your child an opportunity to explore a new skill or you may wish to sign up for all the events for added intensity!
DAY 1 - Thursday 3rd October 2024
What: Centennial Parklands Adventure
The group will meet at the clinic and use public transport (train and light rail) to travel to Centennial Parklands where we will explore different areas of the park (including the WILD playground) at our own pace before travelling back to the clinic for pick up. Lunch will be a picnic lunch (BYO) however there are a few cafes onsite for an afternoon treat before we head home. Explorers will be given the choice how they wish to spend their time in the park - whether it’s sketching under a tree, taking advantage of the open spaces to run around, or even completing a scavenger hunt with their peers.
This activity is an opportunity for your child to practice navigating public transport, exploring new environments and extending their endurance for engagement in longer activities.
Time: 9am-4pm
Location: Drop off and Pick up from Early Links Clinic - 18 President Avenue CARINGBAH

Group members will be encouraged to explore new foods, however will not be 'forced' to eat foods they are not comfortable with.
